Void-Non-Void is a light sculpture placed on a wide empty square in the middle of the NDSM-terrein, makes both light and darkness a penetrating sensory experience.
In a city filled with light like Amsterdam, darkness is scores. But at the NDSM-werf, it can still be pretty dark. A dual quality, because she can bring discomfort and fascination at the same time. From the dark shore of the IJ, the NDSM brings you one of the most beautiful views on the city, where you can see thousands of lights sparkle on the other side. Void-Non-Void is a artwork that makes darkness sensible. Whit light flickers against the inside and the outside of the six bij three meters high walls. In the blink of an eye the object changes from a white cube, to a block box, from a empty shell to a filled core and from a blind spot to a penetrating after-image. After the clear light your eyes will glow in the dark for a while.

New piece Trek, an artwork about the politics of migration was installed last Saturday for the South London Gallery on Pelican Estate. “When seen from the block above this group of sculptures, coloured to resemble birds of paradise, are designed to appear as if they are being blown in the wind. From the ground they will look like foreign bodies in motion, alien newcomers passing through the Pelican Estate”
