Metal mesh, paint, light
Commissioned by Horst Festival
A site-specific installation at the Horst Festival in Belgium, Corridor could be interpreted in the following ways: a theatrical perspective from a dream sequence, an ascension to the heavens above, or a stack of shiny, almost candy layers that have been chewed through.
The installation utilizes forced perspective suggesting a depth of volume larger than its distance in space. The public, activating the work by passing through it, is invited to enter either through the backdoor of the work or from the front, slowly disappearing into—and out of—the work.
