NS Station Groningen

he renewed Groningen station embraces the public values ​​of ‘the station’ and is more than a well-oiled public transportation hub: it is a building for the city. A contemporary, attractive and comfortable stopping place where travelers, passers-by, Groningers and all other users are offered plenty of comfort. 

By making existing qualities important again and carefully building on these qualities, the renewed Groningen station consists of one new coherent whole. 

Groningen station is being commissioned by ProRail, the province of Groningen and the municipality of Groningen. In addition to Koen van Velsen architecten, the team of preferred provider Strukton consists of, among others, RHDHV, Robert Jan Vos, TAK architects and artist Gabriel Lester.
